| Using a Star Panel, can I mix Twinax attached devices with balan and twisted pair devices on my 5794ip controller?
No. Due to the way the 5794ip controller processes the signal on the two sides of the attached pigtail, the following configurations of devices are the only options. A. In a total twinax daisy-chained environment the 5794ip can drive a total of 14 devices, that being 7 twinax devices on either side of the pigtail. B. In a star panel, twisted-pair enviroment, the maximum number of devices allowed is 7 due to reflections of the signal. Further, the 7 devices MUST be connected to the 1 side of the pigtail. |
