Instructions on how to upgrade Firmware in an I-O Print Server.

Once you start the Configuration Utility (CU), make sure no other person will be attempting to print to the I-O Print Server (PS). You may want to update the CU to the most current version prior to updating the firmware on the PS.

1. Download the current Configuration Utility. This can be found online at:ftp://ftp.iocorp.com/Configuration_Utility/

2. Uninstall the previously used version of CU.

3. Unzip and install the new CU.

4. Print a current self test from the I-O PS by pressing and releasing the mode button on the PS one time.

5. Download the current Firmware version for your particular I-O device into it?s own dedicated folder / directory. Most files can be found by navigating from:
ftp://ftp.iocorp.com /

6. Unzip the firmware file.

7. Run the new CU.

8. From the List of Devices, single click to high light the device you want to update.

9. Select Options and then Firmware Update.

10. Select Browse and navigate to where you previously unzipped the new firmware.

11. Select the firmware file and click OK.

12. Follow the prompts.

13. After CU has completed the Firmware update you may want to ?Restore Factory Defaults? on the PS. If the update covered several revision levels, Restoring Factory Defaults is definitely required. Then setup the PS as if it were totally new.
