Article #334 - Why does my outque change back to system defaults?
Updated:03-07-2007 - Views: 583

The Telnet (TN5250e) protocol auto configures devices and when devices are autoconfiged the outque is automatically set to the system default. In order to make a device outque change permanent AFTER the device has been autoconfiged on the AS/400 or iSeries host, go back into the I-O Configuration Utility under the TN5250e - TN3270e Tab, under Session restart Options select the TN5250e button and now check the box titled "Disable Auto Creation of Devices." Exit and save the new settings. Make the desired outque change on the AS/400 or iSeries and with "Disable Auto Creation of Devices" selected the outque will no longer be reset to system defaults.
