| Using an I-O 5430e with a dot-matrix printer and TN5250e protocol, a customer's output was limited to 17.1 cpi. Even when the customer told the 5430e to overide all formatting commands (CPI and LPI) and set the printer to 10 cpi and 6 lpi. As soon as the AS/400 sent any job, the printers front panel settings were overidden and the printer's actual output was 17.1 cpi and 8 lpi.
As soon as the customer selected Slow Output on the 5430's Printer Ports tab and reset both the printer and the 5430, the printed output was as desired, 10 cpi and 6 lpi. |
