Article #354 - Why do my LRPC mode lights flash after responding to a message?
Updated:03-06-2006 - Views: 626
A customer with a LRPC and an IBM 6400 could make the I-O LRPC go into a crashed state, requiring a power cycle of the printer and the LRPC to recover, by responding normally to a paper out halt message on the AS/400.

The solution was to change the Printer Error Message value in the printer device description from *INQ to *INF. Once this change was made responding to paper halt messages no longer locked up the LRPC and printer.
