Article #61 - What is the normal power-on LED sequence for the LRPC?
Updated:02-18-2006 - Views: 528
LANRPC (LRCP) Normal Startup LED Sequence:

1. Before power up all LED's are off.

2. As power is applied the LED's should be as follows:
a. Power = Off
b. Line Sync = On
c. LAN Data = Off
d. Printer Activity = On
e. Printer Error = On
f. Both Mode LED's with momentarily flash.

3. As the LANRPC boots the following will occur:
a. The Power & LAN Data LED's will flash on - off once.
b. The Power LED only will then start to blink.
(LAN Data may blink if the LAN is connected and activity is found)

4. After the Power LED has blinked several times:
a. Line Sync will turn off
b. Printer Activity will turn off
c. Printer Error will turn off
(these three LED's will go out at the same time)
d. Printer Activity will flash once.
e. Printer Error will flash.

5. Line sync then blinks to show the LRCP is trying to contact the printer.
a. Line sync blinks twice per second looking for a Twinax printer.
b. Line sync blinks four times per second looking for a Coax printer.

6. Line Sync comes on solid when a printer is found.

If the LED's follow any other pattern there is a problem with the LRCP.
