Network Enabling Serial Data Capture/Collection Interface

Enable serial data from your time and attendance, bar code scanning, environmental controls, etc. devices to be accessible to your Ethernet or Token Ring network. A LAN interface box with a serial connection will enable tunneling of serial data over the network. And, with custom programming of the interface, the serial data can be evaluated to determine when the data needs to be sent to a site on the network. This capability can eliminate the typical need for frequent polling of the interface to check for new data thus freeing network resources.
